Another winter ride. Feb.18/14.
I've been very fortunate to ride at least one day every month this winter except December, when I came close, but there was simply too much ice on the roads to make any attempt to ride a dangerous proposition. I did however get out for an hour ride this February day much to my delight!! As I rode that day, I could smell & feel the melting & winters grip slowly loosening. It's now 2 weeks later & after suffering a last cold blast of winter, I'm convinced that spring will soon be here to stay!

Winter ride Jan.25th. Alberta!
I needed a ride & nature delivered! Lucky enough to have some dry roads coupled with above freezing temperatures. It was definately the best hour I've experienced all winter & right before my birthday!! I couldn't ask for a better present!

More winter pics!
Played hooky from work & went for a drive in the country. It was a beautiful sunset this evening!!

Winter River Ride!
We seem to be having a warm up of sorts here so I thought I'd spend a couple hours on the River ride (albeit on 4 wheels). Just to show the contrast between seasons, I had my bike parked at this river spot just over 2 months ago!!

Autumn in Alberta!
Autumn in Alberta this year was phenominal. Our favorite River ride was ablaze with colors & presented numerous opportunities for some great pictures! Every day we rode this familiar ride, things would change drastically! This is just a small sampling of some of the pictures I took, hope you enjoy them.

Q: So how many bikes have you had in the last 2 years James?
Well seeing as we're in the middle of winter (off season) & with nothing much to do in the evenings, I thought I'd tackle the monumental task of counting just how many bikes I've owned (however briefly) in the last 2 years!! I came to the unbelieveable total of 24 bikes!! I'm posting pictures of 21 of them & the last 3 I don't have pictures of but Marv can vouch for 2 of them as he had them both loaded on his pickup truck last winter. One was a Honda CX 500 & the other was a 78 Suzuki GS 750G. Both bikes were sold soon after I bought them. The 24th bike was a complete 73 Norton 850 Interstate in boxes. A friend bought it & is slowly assembling it! There is also a possibility I've forgotten about 1 or 2 more but close enough. Of these bikes, I still own the 3 XS 650's, the Kawasaki KZ 650 & the Suzuki GS 850G. I do not regret my decision & believe I have a great cross section of 70's muscle not to mention Yamaha XS reliability!!! I'm immensely happy with my stable full of bikes!!
